PORTRAIT OF JULIUS MADRITSCH

VISIT IN ISRAEL

During our trip in Israel, we managed to find a tree  dedicated to the memory of Julius Madritsch in the Garden of the Righteous Among the Nations...

...and documented it on the photo.

We also visited the Yad Vashem Institute, which was one of the main objectives of our expedition:

SEWING MACHINES

After reading an article in one of the newspapers, a resident of Tarnów reported to us , that the sewing machines of Julius Madritsch factory are located...in his attic!

                         

Both machines are original, on the left is a furrier's machine and on the right a sewing machine.

We also managed to reach the historical map of Tarnów. We found the information about location of the Madritsch factory, and we indicated the area, which this site had covered. 

 It was Lwowska 7 street .

Thanks to the courtesy of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum we obtained a photograph of the inside of one of the Madritsch's plants.
